No sound in ubuntu 10.04 and how to fix it.

Get the terminal and write ”alsamixer”.

Type the ”h” button.

And you get the instruction how to change  the alsamixer.

When you have change the alsamixer as you wish, you type the ”Esc” button.

Then you have to write ”sudo alsactl store” to save your settings and put in your password.

And then you goto System-Preferences-Startup Applications.

And add a new Command ”alsactl restore” and save.

After this the sound ought to work perfectly even after reboot.
